CONSULTANCY Australian Newsletter for Bilingual Families Together with Prof Michael Clyne I have been giving talks to parents from a wide range of cultural backgrounds on ≥Raising Bilingual Children≤ since 1990. From the many contacts with families over the years I have identified a need for ongoing support in terms of information, resources, contacts and activities in languages other than English which support the home language development of bilingual children. In many ways, what parents have told me and asked of me over the years very much reflects what I would have wished for when I was raising my own two bilingual children.
